Capital of Pas-de-Calais, two UNESCO Flemish baroque squares and remembrance tourism. Our service covers Arras, Lens and Béthune.
Arras, capital of the Pas-de-Calais department, has 41,000 inhabitants and offers one of the most remarkable heritage ensembles in northern France. Its Grand-Place and Place des Héros, framed by 155 Flemish baroque facades from the 17th century, as well as its town hall topped by a 75-meter belfry listed as UNESCO World Heritage, make it a major cultural destination. The city is also a major site of remembrance tourism: the Canadian Vimy Memorial, 10 kilometers away, commemorates the Battle of Vimy Ridge (1917). Each summer, the Main Square Festival attracts 130,000 spectators to the Vauban citadel. FJ13 serves Arras for cultural and remembrance tourism.
Arras is unique in having two adjacent Flemish baroque squares. The Grand-Place (155 facades) is the largest; Place des Héros, more intimate, houses the town hall and the UNESCO belfry. Our chauffeur can drop you at the entrance to Place des Héros, closer to the historic center and the Fish Market.
The Canadian Vimy Memorial is 10 kilometers north of Arras, about 15 minutes by car. Our chauffeur takes you there and can wait during the visit (allow 1h30 to 2h for the memorial, the interpretation center and the preserved trenches). A powerful and moving site.
Yes, the Main Square Festival (first weekend of July) takes place in the Vauban citadel of Arras. The town center and access roads are very saturated; we plan pickup points on the outskirts (Arras TGV station, park and ride) to avoid traffic jams. Booking essential in advance.
Beyond urban rides, FJ13 offers a complete range of B2B and event services.
