Adour-Nive confluence, Bayonne Festival, IGP ham and Sephardic chocolate.
Bayonne, 53,000 inhabitants, is the historic and cultural capital of the French Basque Country. Located at the confluence of the Adour and Nive rivers, the city combines an exceptional architectural heritage (Sainte-Marie cathedral classified UNESCO under the Way of Saint James, Vauban ramparts, citadel), protected gastronomy (Bayonne IGP ham, chocolate whose heritage dates back to Sephardim fleeing the Inquisition in the 17th century), and a major event, the Bayonne Festival, five days of festivities late July-early August attracting over a million festayres dressed in white and red.
During the Bayonne Festival (late July-early August, five days), we reinforce our driver fleet and apply mandatory advance booking. We avoid festive pedestrian areas (Grand Bayonne, Petit Bayonne) and use secure pickup points in Saint-Esprit, Boucau or Anglet. 24/7 service throughout the festival.
Bayonne IGP ham is bought from traditional producers: Pierre Ibaialde, Salaisons Pyrénéennes in Saint-Étienne-de-Baïgorry, Maison Montauzer, Aubard. We organize gastronomic tours with tasting and possible shipping. Minimum seven months curing for IGP.
Bordeaux is 190 km from Bayonne, about 1h45 via the A63. Regular journey for flights from Bordeaux-Mérignac (BOD), wine events (Vinexpo), or TGV connections.
Beyond urban rides, FJ13 offers a complete range of B2B and event services.
