Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, nicknamed "the pearl of the Opal Coast", officially has 4,000 permanent inhabitants but welcomes up to 250,000 people in high season. Founded in the late 19th century for the holidaying of Parisians and British, the resort retains a characteristic architecture of Anglo-Norman villas in pine forest. It offers a 12-kilometer beach, two golf courses (Le Manoir, La Mer) ranked among the most beautiful in Europe, and hosts in February the Enduropale, legendary motorbike race on sand. The Westminster (5-star) and Hermitage hotels mark the historic identity of the resort. 130 kilometers from Lille and 230 from Paris, Le Touquet is also accessible by TGV via Étaples (2h from Paris). FJ13 serves the resort all year round.

Le Touquet-Paris-Plage embodies a certain idea of northern French holidaying. Founded in 1882 by journalist Hippolyte de Villemessant, who wanted to create a "Paris-on-Sea" for Parisians, it was developed in the early 20th century by British investors seduced by its pine forest and immense beach. The listed Anglo-Norman villa district bears witness to this golden age of the 1920s-1930s. The resort now welcomes a loyal international clientele: nostalgic British, Belgians, Dutch and Germans who come in season and out of season. The hotel offer is dominated by the Westminster (5-star, 115 rooms, opened in 1924) and the Hermitage (4-star, 70 rooms). How many golf courses are there in Le Touquet ?

Le Touquet has two 18-hole courses: Le Manoir, a technical and wooded course, and La Mer, a course by the beach with views of the Channel. Both are managed by the Open Golf Club group. Our chauffeur runs hotel to clubhouse shuttles respecting tee-off times.

When does the Enduropale take place and is it accessible by VTC ?

The Enduropale du Touquet (motorbike race on sand) takes place every first weekend of February. It is a major event (1,000 riders, 250,000 spectators). Traffic is very restricted; we plan pickups from Étaples station or the outskirts of Le Touquet. Booking essential several weeks in advance.

Is it better to come to Le Touquet from Lille or from Paris ?

From Paris, the TGV Paris-Étaples (2h) then 15 minutes by VTC is very efficient. From Lille, allow 1h30 by car directly. For international clients landing at Paris CDG, we also offer a direct VTC CDG-Le Touquet (3h, simpler than train with luggage).
