Taxi at Strasbourg train station: rank, fares and VTC alternative

Strasbourg central station, located on Place de la Gare at the heart of the city, is a major TGV hub serving Paris (1h50), Lyon, Marseille, Brussels, Frankfurt, Karlsruhe and Basel. It welcomes more than 60,000 travellers every day.

The official taxi rank is at the main exit, on the Place de la Gare side (central exit). Taxis are usually waiting there, especially at peak-hour TGV arrivals (morning 7am-9am, end of day 5pm-8pm). For late arrivals (after 10pm) or quiet Sunday mornings, the rank can be temporarily empty.

A second taxi rank exists on the south side (Place du Quartier-Blanc exit), generally less busy but convenient for travellers leaving through the rear of the station.

• Station - Entzheim airport: around 30 to 38 EUR by day (15 km, rate C).
• Station - Schiltigheim, Bischheim, Ostwald, Lingolsheim: around 12 to 20 EUR.
• Station - Illkirch-Graffenstaden, Hautepierre: around 15 to 22 EUR.
• Station - civil hospital, NHC Hautepierre: around 10 to 15 EUR.
• Night or Sunday ride: rate B surcharge (around 50 percent).
